£38m Chelsea new boy continues to impress

Hakim Ziyech has delighted in his start to life at Chelsea after his £38m arrival. The Moroccan has had to wait for his chance due to early injury setbacks.

However, the 27-year-old has impressed with his attacking displays for the Blues. Ziyech says his understanding of his team-mates continues to improve.

Former Ajax attacker has settled to life in English football with ease. The 27-year-old has caught the eye with creative displays and laid on two assists in the 4-1 win over Sheffield United.

“We played a good game, the first 10 minutes was a little bit difficult [and] we started sloppy but after, we controlled the game. We played well again,” he told Sky Sports.

“They like when you play the ball into feet. I saw [Mateo] Kovacic running in the space [for the first goal] and sometimes you have to give those balls and they [the defence] don’t know what to do”.

The Blues are in strong form heading into the international break, winning their last four games. Chelsea have moved up to third in the Premier League following the win over the Blades, and are in strong form heading into the international break.

“I always look at the [runs] before i take [set-pieces]. Sometimes all you need is eye contact. I feel comfortable in the team, with the squad and with the team mates” Hakim Ziyech told Sky Sports.
